Shop Issues, Crystalline Aura Missing And More...
Many players are experiencing a bug where the crystalline aura has disappeared from their account in Lost Ark. On the 20th of February, the development team made a post saying that they have implemented a “potential fix” in hope of stabilizing this issue.
Anyone with a crystalline aura knows how annoying it is to have it gone once you’ve had it. Without the Aura active you don’t have access to your bifrosts, you don’t have your pet functions, and there is no decrease in your stronghold times. This makes dailies annoying to do, you can’t do repairs on the go, just really annoying!
Here’s the quote from the community manager on the lost ark website:
“As for reports of missing Crystalline Aura, we put in a fix today that should improve the connections while we continue to work on a more permanent fix with Smilegate RPG”
So no pay to win now?
Quick question, how can Lost Ark be pay to win if the shop’s down?!
All jokes aside, the shop is down, which is a minor inconvenience for most players, but it is upsetting people that want to spend their blue crystals, understandable. The shop being down seems to be linked with the crystalline aura, if one’s down, so is the other.
There’s actually no comment on this from Amazon, so is it going to be fixed soon? We don’t know.
The point of an MMO is to play with other players, it’s not currently possible while the servers are full. Up to 11am yesterday, which is the daily reset time, matchmaking was fine.
As soon as it ticked 1 minute past, it started to crumble. Come 1pm, and you couldn’t matchmake at all on the EU Servers.
This issue has also been affecting solo content, for example, chaos dungeons. You can press to enter it, but then nothing happens.
The 20th of February downtime was also to help fix this temporarily, time will tell.
It’s become an increasing issue with spambots advertising gold-selling websites. Please do not go on to these sites to buy gold. For anyone thinking about it, don’t. There is a high chance that you can be scammed from using these services, they damage the game’s economy and are bannable offenses.
Amazon has said, “We are also aware of the increase in gold sellers spamming chat and are running frequent scripts to ban them.”
From my experience on OSRS, a script isn’t good enough to catch these sellers. Perhaps we should think of other solutions, for example, player moderators or an in-game reporting system?
We are confident that the team at Smilegate RPG along with Amazon Game Studios are taking these matters seriously, if anything, it is affecting their income with having half the player base unable to use the shop. But, there are way more players wanting to try out Lost Ark and once these server issues are fixed we will have an amazing foundation for the game over the coming years.
With a new WoW Patch coming, Guild Wars 2 dropping a new expansion, and the new Elden Ring game coming out in the next few weeks hopefully this will ease some of the pressure to allow people to enjoy their time in Lost Ark!
