Paladin PvP Guide

Whether it be with the might of a sword or the wisdom of a book, Paladin is a knight of righteous fury in PvP.

Paladin is without a doubt a support class, but he is also the one with the greatest damage potential. Though lacking in Push Immunities, he makes up for it with great utility.

Nigh unkillable when played correctly, Paladin is the epitome of an offensive support class. Balancing offence and defence – forcing enemies back and doing heavy damage when the situation allows for it – then immediately retreating and preventing their team from taking any damage. Rest assured – with one in your team, you will see it isn’t just the son of God that is immortal.

Desired Stats

750 Swiftness and 250 Domination.

Alternatively 250 Endurance for more healing on shields and tankiness.

Ultimate

Always use Alithane’s Judgement for your Awakening. Ideally it is best used after a Push on enemies with no ground escape roll to benefit from the damage, but don’t hesitate in using it if it will save your team. The shield goes incredibly far and can turn games entirely.

Alternate pods & skills

Holy Protection

Rather than taking healing, you can get one additional use of the skill a game by using the damage option. Mathematically this is less of a net HP gain than healing, but the additional use and damage on shatter may help you save teammates at crucial moments or finish off enemies at low HP safely.

Dash Slash

Allows for greater rushdown potential and more Paralysis immune availability. Great tool to combo into Holy Sword and can be difficult for certain classes to deal with it.

Tips

  • Although you are a melee, Execution of Justice is your only Push Immunity. You may need to frontline at times, but make use of damage reduction and shields to be your safeguard. Using the skill without space dash up is usually an easy punish, so try to pair the two up.
  • Godsent Law is an incredible skill not just for damage reduction, but for catching and map control. It can be quite flexible, so think carefully about how to best use it in a given situation. As it inflicts Paralysis, it is not only a tool for defence but can also interrupt enemy skills and allow your own teammates to convert off of it.
  • The range increase on your identity allows you to play from mid-range as well as making catching two enemies at once a lot easier. If you can sync Identity use with key teammate skills, you can single handedly turn games. During the time it is active, Paladin can often out-damage traditional damage dealing classes.
