Artillerist

Heavy armoured, long-distance class which uses a huge mechanical cannon to deal massive, area of effect, explody attacks. This type of character represents low mobility and requires good positioning but compensates that with insane burst damage. Compared to other ranged classes, Artillerist has high defence. While playing, bear in mind that some abilities need to be precasted by predicting monster movement or specific dodge mechanics.

Special Ability

While using skills in combat, Artillerist gains stacks on his firepower gauge proportionate to mana consumed. Reaching a certain threshold allows to activate Bombardment mode which allows transforming into a static, super-large, anti air cannon with four special abilities, increasing damage output significantly. However this damage boost comes with the downside of losing ability to move or dodge any attacks as well as a limited skills range. This increases the importance of proper positioning even more.

Gunslinger

Fast paced, ranged class that switches between double handgun, shotgun and rifle, to become a deadly source of damage to enemies at any range. Gunslinger playstyle feels really fluent with fast-movement, dashes, stylish animations and smooth transitions between stances. With extremely high dps potential comes the downside of one of the smallest healthpools and defences from all the available classes.

In Lost Ark we can observe a very unique approach to gender and classes. Even though Gunslinger is a female version of Deadeye, there are some major differences in abilities and animations. Gunslinger main damage dealing skills are balanced around Shotgun and Rifle stance while Deadeye is more focused on shotguns and close combat playstyle.

Special Ability

Quick Stance allows Gunslinger to fight with three gun sets at will, depending on the situation. Each weapon has a unique skill set which should be used based on enemy proximity. Shotgun provides strong aoe damage to nearby enemies, in medium range most suitable choice is handgun for wide range of quick shots and rifle should be used in distance for precise and devastating sniper shots.

Sharpshooter

Nimble archer which attacks enemies with a mechanical bow and special arrows. Playstyle varies between using your ranged skills and filling combos up with melee abilities. This is a very important aspect to take into consideration while picking your character as it stands in contrast to the classic archetype of bow using class, fighting only from far distance. High mobility will allow you to survive longer in fights and kite enemies very effectively. Biggest downside of this class is a necessity to take risks and to use some of your skills in dangerous melee range.

Special Ability

After fully charging your gauge in combat, you are able to summon Silver Hawk. This pet has two main abilities, 1st allows your hawk to automatically attack nearby enemies and 2nd orders your pet to do a suicidal dive ending with an explosion that deals massive damage to a marked opponent. In later phases of the game, your summon can also give you and your party members additional buffs or cause enemies to take additional damage. This set of abilities creates the biggest advantage in long-lasting combats, especially on bosses.
